Originally these bayonets were made at Harper’s Ferry Armory and only 1,646 were produced in 1855. This complex bayonet has a brass hilt with a steel rear swivel spring-loaded ring. The cross-guard has a locking pin that locks into a cut in the barrel near the muzzle. Complete with leather scabbard brass mounts and frog. |
