In 1832 all epaulettes were specified for all officers; for infantry they were silver & all other had gold epaulettes. The rank insignia for silver epaulettes were gold. The fringes are 2 1/2"long & 1/8" thick in diameter. There were no insignia for Captain, Lt. & 2nd Lt. |
