In 1832 all epaulettes were specified for all officers; for infantry they were silver & all other had gold epaulettes. The rank insignia for silver epaulettes were gold. Colonels had Gold eagle & Generals had gold stars, all others had no insignia. The fringes are 2 1/2" long & 1/4" thick in diameter. |
