This sword was adopted in July 1902 by the Army for all officers' except Chaplains, this sword is still the current regulation presentation sword for Army officers. The tempered high carbon steel blade is etched with "US" and a foliage pattern. The four-branch decorated guard is plated with nickel silver. The nickel plated pommel features an eagle head. The black grip is molded for the fingers. The steel scabbard is nickel platted with decorative brass mounts. The original of Ames Sword Company were used to make this sword.
