This sword has an unpierced counter guard, which contains in high relief the letters "C.S." separated by the Louisiana coat-of-arms (Pelican on nest feeding her young), also in high relief. The grip is black leather wrapped with twisted brass wire wound around it. The pommel is ornamented with Oak leaf design. The blade is 30" long with unstopped fuller on both sides. Our replica comes with a metal scabbard with brass mounts. Overall length is 42". |
